What exactly is it?Z Magazine is a 56-60 page, full color magazine printed on heavyweight paper. It contains satirical, humorous, and thoughtful articles written from the perspective of zombies living in a reality where humans and the undead cohabitate. There are advertisements for shows and products catered to the undead as well as photography and illustrations of zombies.
The magazine is slightly oversized (around 9x12) and looks great on a coffee table. It’s not a flimsy product; the pages are luxurious and hearty. The whole magazine is full bleed. About the MagazineZ Magazine started off as an idea between close friends and family and is fast becoming an indie favorite in the zombie community. With writers and graphic artists from across the world, Z Magazine hopes to shamble its way into the hearts of anyone who likes the genre. The magazine started off with only a handful of contributors but has opened its doors to anyone who has a good idea and can translate it into an article. We welcome further development of established ideas, but also love it when people come up with crazy new concepts to ad to the world. Zombies don’t have to be the mindless corpses we remember from the Romero flicks (don’t get us wrong, we love those!). We want to make people think and offer them a perspective on the undead that they can’t find anywhere else. We want to make you think. We want to make you feel. We want you to look at zombies in a different light! Along with a variety of writers Z Magazine works with photo manipulators, painters, and illustrators of all kinds to produce the graphics in the magazine. Our featured zombies (the cover zombie and most of the ad zombies) are all done in real life; in other words, we break out the latex and paints and create them from scratch! We hope that you enjoy Z Magazine and share it with your friends and family. Sit back and read it cover to cover, flip through it here and there, or put it on the coffee table to scare your guests...we like that. Current Editorial BoardEloise J.
